Though the course backs onto the Bishop’s Avenue and is in fact visible from the A1, there is no access from the A1.
It’s best to plan your journey in advance as you may find, even in Highgate village, you’ll receive blank stares if you ask where the golf course is. It’s best to get onto Hampstead Lane (the principal road on the north side of Hampstead Heath). From there, take Sheldon Avenue, first left will be Denewood Road, where you will find the club car park.
Walking from Highgate Underground (Northern Line) takes about 15 minutes. Exit the tube. Walk north along Archway Road. Church Road is about 300m on your left. Take Church Road (which through the traffic lights becomes View Road). Walk along View Road for about 300m and turn right into Denewood Road. The entrance to the club is 200m ahead.
Route number 210 runs along Hampstead Lane. Get off at the stop for Kenwood House.
