If you are moving, or have moved, to London following graduation and you are looking to join a London club, then Highgate should be at the top of your list.
Recently classified by Golf Monthly as a “hidden gem” Highgate has a history of attracting top quality golfers to the Club and has two past English University Stroke Play champions, two President's Putter winners as well as a number of individual and team county champions amongst its members.
Established in 1904, Highgate is a superb, mature, parkland course. At 6,015 yards from the white tees but with 4 long par fours and only one par 5, it's a challenging par 69, (SSS 70), where the men's amateur course record of 66 has not been bettered for 27 years.
The interests and enjoyment of our members is central to everything we do at Highgate. Only members and their guests are allowed to play at weekends and we have no tee times except for monthly medals and other large competitions.
A strong roll-up culture ensures easy integration for our new members who can simply turn up for any of the two midweek or three weekend roll-ups and have their golf arranged for them. There is no shortage of competetive golf, either, with a plethora of men's and ladies' strokeplay and knock out competitions throughout the year.
If you are new to London then accommodation will be a top priority and you will find a wide selection to rent or buy only a few minutes from Highgate, including Archway, Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Kentish Town, Camden Town and Tufnell Park. All have excellent links into either the City or West End for work and have many good restaurants, bars and a cosmopolitan nightlife.
The average age of our members is five years lower than the national average for golf clubs and with over 100 members under 35 (excluding juniors), you will have plenty of members at a similar stage in life around you.
We offer a tiered subscription system with significantly reduced rates for ages 18-24, 25-27, 28-30 & 31-34.
