COVID-19 UPDATE 18-03-2020

The club is doing everything possible to keep the golf course open for member-use while putting in place as many protocols and procedures to protect our membership. Golf is a fantastic sport, as we all know, and has many health benefits. It is also one of the few that can be continued in a relatively safe manner while needing to undertake social distancing.

Until further notice, only members and their guests will be permitted to play at Highgate. Please ensure that your guests are following all government guidelines regarding self-isolation.

Use of the golf course:

All members and their guests are asked to do the following:

  • Play in two-balls is preferable (although three-balls are permitted)
  • Leave the pin in
  • No use of rakes in bunkers (please use the personal rakes that are available)
  • Submit all competition and supplementary scores via the IG member app – no need to return a physical scorecard
  • If using a physical scorecard, one person to keep ALL scores on the same card (no swapping required)
  • Maintain a safe distance from other players
  • Forego handshakes on the 18th green
  • Use your glove hand to pick up your ball

This is not an exhaustive list with all members encouraged to keep safe and avoid any cross-contamination of items while at the club. Keep washing your hands!
